Composite Filing

Composite filing uses the same material used for tooth bonding techniques, however, in this application it is used in place of amalgam (silver filing) to obtain a more natural look.

First the decayed tooth structure is removed, special material is applied to protect the tooth and increase the bonding strength of the tooth and the composite material. Then, the composite material is applied and hardened by a special process.  At last, the bonded composite is adjusted and polished.

Composite filing can get stained similar to the natural tooth for heavy coffee/tea drinkers or tobacco users, however, can be retouched and re-polished if necessary.
